What is instasmile made from?

All instasmile clip-on veneers are made from high-quality, safe and certified materials, perfect for creating the best aesthetic cosmetic detail. The materials have been successfully lab-tested for strength and colour stability by a leading university and all instasmile products are FDA registered, biocompatible, BPA & monomer free. All of our products are hand finished by our technicians.

What is the difference between the Classic and Dynamic instasmile?

Instasmile Classic Veneers

Our Instasmile Classic Veneers are our original clip-on veneers. Designed to be super slim and lightweight, they give you a beaming smile that conceals any mild or moderate cosmetic issues. All instasmile veneers now include a 6 month warranty included in the price.

Our Instasmile Dynamic Veneers are a more durable dental framework. Designed with more structure and an optimum fit for people with multiple issues. These are the ideal solution for concealing moderate to severe issues. All instasmile veneers now include a 6 month warranty included in the price.

Our Dynamic clip-on veneers cover larger gaps and conceal moderate to severe issues. With our new and improved materials, they are more durable than our Classic range with a profile of 0.8mm - 1.2mm, meaning they can cover multiple missing teeth, even if they’re side by side, short or ground down teeth.

Can I still buy the Platinum product?

We no longer manufacture the Platinum product. This product has been redeveloped, improved and rebranded to the “Dynamic” product. The Dynamic is a more durable dental framework ideal to cover more moderate to severe issues, especially for multiple missing teeth. The product is designed using the latest dental software to ensure an optimum and comfortable fit.

How many shades are there to choose from?

BL1

So, you want a dazzling Hollywood smile? This is our whitest, brightest shade that gives the appearance of whitened teeth..

A1

A whiter shade than your average smile, this is the most naturally white a tooth can be.

A2

Light ivory is a common colour for teeth that have not undergone any whitening treatment.

A3

Medium ivory is slightly darker than A2 to maintain a natural tone.

Multi-Tonal Shade (iconic veneers only)

The Multi-tonal shade reproduces the natural color gradients and contours of natural teeth breathing lifelike natural bright aesthetics into your new smile. Starting with A2 shade around the gum line and graduating to A1 shade around the tip of the tooth.

Why do you no longer offer straighter or natural designs?

Our research and development team works hard to ensure we use the latest digital software to design the best instasmile for you. This means we can provide you with the most slimline instasmile possible for your individual profile, so there’s no longer a need for you to make a choice. Our experts will take care of everything for you, once they have your approved impressions.

Does it hurt?

No, our experts create the perfect fit, so that your instasmile is comfortable and secure, and easily clips on and off your natural teeth. You’ll even be able to eat and drink in them thanks to our patented technology.

Do I need to see a dentist?

No, you don't need to see a dentist to get an instasmile. When you click Get Started we'll let you know straight away if you are suitable for instasmile. You can use your self-impression kit from the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you.

Will it damage my own teeth?

No, instasmile is a non permanent and removable solution that safely and easily clips on and off without causing any damage to your natural teeth.

Can I drink and eat with snap on veneers from instasmile ?

Thanks to our patented design technology you can eat and drink most things with all instasmile products (also see temporary teeth you can eat with). Despite being very durable, our clip-on veneers are a lifestyle product. The more you look after them, the longer they will last. The same applies to the type of foods that you eat. Eating softer foods means that the product will naturally last longer.

Can I smoke in them?

Yes, instasmile has been tested by a leading university for colour stability, and can be worn by smokers. We do recommend you follow our aftercare guidance after wearing your instasmile to keep it looking its best!

Can I kiss with them in?

Yes, our patented technology and innovative dental design software means that your instasmile will fit securely and comfortably so you can feel confident during those intimate moments.

Will they stain?

All instasmile products have been tested by a leading university for colour stability against a number of compounds such as red wine, nicotine and mild spices. As we have not tested against every possible compound that can cause staining we do recommend that you follow our aftercare guide to ensure your instasmile stays looking great for as long as possible. As instasmile is a lifestyle product the better you look after it the longer it will last.

Will I have a lisp?

Not always. Your mouth is a sensitive place, and anything new inside your mouth will take a little adjustment. Your instasmile may cause a slight lisp when first worn but usually disappears after wearing the product for 72 hours. The more you wear them the faster you will adjust to wearing them. It’s also worth remembering that even fixed veneers can cause a lisp when they are first fitted.

How long does instasmile last?

instasmile products are a lifestyle product. The better you look after them the longer they will last. All products come with a standard 30 days manufacturer's warranty and an extended warranty for that peace of mind guarantee.

I have missing teeth, can I use instasmile?

Yes. instasmile is a fast, convenient and safe way of concealing gaps and missing teeth to restore and enhance your smile. The Classic product is ideal for one (1) or two (2) missing teeth per arch whereas the Dynamic product can cover multiple missing teeth per arch.

instasmile has been designed to anchor securely to existing teeth so there is a minimum number of teeth required per arch. Please look at the diagrams below to see if you have the required teeth on the arch that you wish to cover. If you have the necessary teeth then you are ready to take our online Smile Assessment. Which instasmile is best for me?

Does it cover discoloured teeth?

Yes, instasmile clip-on veneers conceal a number of dental issues including discoloured teeth, and we have a number shades for you to choose from. If you have severe discoloration, instasmile clip-on veneers may not fully cover this. We suggest that you email images of your natural teeth to suitability@instasmile.com so that we can assess these for you before you place an order.

Will my tooth be visible where my instasmile clips on?

Only the top part of your clip-in tooth (towards the back) may be visible. Our patent pending technology and design means that your instasmile will contain an opening on this part, so that you can chew food comfortably, and enjoy eating while wearing your instasmile. instasmile covers up to 10 teeth per arch, and this is dependent on your individual profile.

I have crowns, bridges, veneers or implants, can I use instasmile?

If you have crowns, caps, bridges, gum-level implants or veneers, as long as these (or your own teeth) are not loose, are fully secured come right down to cover your whole tooth to meet your gum line, you will be suitable.

I suffer from severe gum disease or severe gum recession, can I use instasmile?

Sadly no, excessive gum disease or receding gums means that you cannot wear an instasmile.

I have a fixed braces or a fixed retainer, can I use instasmile?

Sadly no, as these would affect you making an accurate impression, or having a secure and accurate fitting product. If you currently have a fixed retainer of any kind you will need to wait until this is removed before you would be suitable to wear an instasmile.

I have loose or brittle teeth, can I use instasmile?

Sadly no. Our clip-on veneers need to attach securely onto your teeth. If you have teeth that are loose or brittle you cannot wear an instasmile.

I have an underbite and/or a crossbite, can I use instasmile?

Yes, if you have an underbite and/or crossbite, you'll still be able to use an instasmile. However, we recommend that your instasmile is for occasional use, and that eating with your instasmile in is kept to a minimum. This is because it may create an unbalanced bite pressure that could damage your clip-on veneer. And don't worry if you have an overbite, that's very common and creates no issues with an instasmile. If you have a severe overbite and or your teeth stick out or protrude, please understand that the instasmile will exaggerate this as we are adding 0.6mm-1.0mm to your natural teeth.

I have heavily ground down teeth, can I use instasmile?

If you have a lot of heavily ground down teeth (less than 4 mm in length), sadly you will not be suitable for an instasmile. All instasmile products fit securely to your teeth, and we require a certain amount of teeth to be present to clip to.

If you have one or two ground down teeth you will be suitable as long as you meet all other suitability criteria. If you are still unsure, please send us some pictures of your natural teeth and gum line to suitability@instasmile.com and we'll assess these for you.

Payment Plans

Can I change the date of my payments?

No, when you take out a payment plan your payment dates are fixed and cannot be changed. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact us at payments@instasmile.com and we'll endeavour to help.

Will my order be delayed if I pay using a payment plan?

No, as long as you keep up to date with your payments, your instasmile will be sent out as soon as it's ready.

What if I miss any payments?

It's important that you keep up with the payment plan you have taken out, to prevent any delays with your order. Missing your payments may result in debt collectors reclaiming the outstanding monies. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact us at payments@instasmile.com and we'll endeavour to help.

Please note that failure to meet your credit obligations will result in your account being passed across to our legal collection agencies without hesitation. If this happens your order will be indefinitely suspended and we will not be able to assist you further.

What if I need to change the card number on my payment plan?

That's no problem, simply log on to your account with your chosen plan provider to update your card details.

What is Zip?

Zip's (formerly Quadpay) payment platform gives shoppers the choice to pay for their purchases via 4 simple, interest-free installments. Zip is a platform built for shoppers, that empowers them to buy now, pay over time and avoid interest repayments.

How can I contact Zip?

What does it cost to use Zip?

If you pay on time, there is never a cost to using Zip (formerly Quadpay).

Are there late fees?

Zip (formerly Quadpay) charges a $7 fee on a late payment that's overdue. They reserve the right to charge a further $7 fee, if you remain late 7 days after the original payment was due. $14 is the maximum a customer will ever be charged for an individual order.

Is there a hard credit check?

No. Zip (formerly Quadpay) never performs a hard credit check on a customer and there is no impact on your credit rating by using Zip.

How do refunds to the customer work?

Refunds will be processed in line with our terms and conditions, and as soon as this is completed, the refund is immediately processed by Zip (formerly Quadpay).

If the refund is in full, the customer will have any funds paid to-date refunded immediately to their card and all future instalments will be cancelled.

If the refund is partial, the refund amount will be applied to the total purchase amount, starting with the last installment.

For example, if a purchase was for $100 (4 x $25 installments) and a partial refund of $25 was issued by the merchant, Zip would cancel the 4th installment. If a refund of $50 was applied, Zip would cancel the 4th and 3rd installments.'

What payment types are accepted?

Zip (formerly Quadpay) accepts all U.S. credit and debit cards (including American Express and Discover).

However, Zip cannot accept credit or debit cards from overseas or prepaid debit cards.

Who can use Zip?

In order to have an account with Zip (formerly Quadpay), you must:

  • Live in the U.S.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid and verifiable mobile number
  • Use a U.S. credit or debit card to make a purchase

If you have not been approved with Zip?

Zip assesses multiple information points about customers and their purchases to algorithmically determine customers' eligibility to use their service. Is there a limit to how much I can spend on Zip?

Zip (formerly Quadpay) does not approve every order. Zip's automated system takes into account various factors to determine whether customers are approved and what spend limit we can provide customers with.

Zip will charge the customer 25% of the purchase amount at the time of the transaction. If the customer doesn't have this amount available, the order will not go through.

If a customer is a repeat purchaser and has made all prior repayments on time, there is a good chance they will receive a higher limit than somebody who is a new customer.

If a customer has multiple orders that are not fully paid off with Zip, it can help to pay off orders in advance. This can sometimes increase the amount the customer can spend.

Zip also looks at the total value of orders and can deny transactions if they exceed certain limits.

Order Process

What is the order process?

Placing an order is quick and easy. Just click on the Get Started button, we'll ask you a few simple questions, and let you know if you are suitable. We'll also let you know which solutions are suitable for you, so that you can select the right product and shade and use our easy checkout to complete your order.

What happens after I place my order?

After placing your order, you will receive your order confirmation via email and SMS. We will dispatch your self-impression kit (usually the next working day) so that you can make impressions of your existing dental profile. No need to visit a dentist. Once your impressions have been approved, we will invite you to return these to us, and our experts will take care of the rest, using our patent pending technology to create your perfect smile. Please do not send your impressions back to us before they have been approved by a member of the instasmile team; this could delay your order and you may incur additional costs.

Can I track my order?

You can log into your instasmile Account at any time to check the progress of your order, including when your self-impression kit has been dispatched, tracking information, when we have received your impressions, and when we are making your instasmile. You will also receive regular updates via email and SMS, so you know exactly what's happening with your order.

How long does it take?

Once we've received your approved impressions, standard manufacture takes 21 days, or 15 days if you have added express manufacture to your order. You do have the option to add express manufacture to your order anytime, as long as we haven't started to make your instasmile. Please note these timeframes relate solely to the manufacturing timescale and excludes delivery timescales which could vary.

Can I change my shade?

Yes, as long as we haven't started to manufacture your instasmile you can change the shade. Just contact us using our contact form to request this, and our friendly team will take care of the rest for you.

Can I change to a different product / solution?

Yes, as long as you have a need for this solution, and we haven't started to manufacture your instasmile. Simply contact us using our contact form to request this, and our friendly team will contact you to make the change and take any payment that may be due.

How do I contact you?

Our friendly customer service team is on hand to provide you with any help and support needed throughout your smile journey. You can contact us using our online contact form or via your instasmile Account area and a member of our friendly team will come back to you.

What is your refund policy?

You have the right to change your mind in receipt of the self-impression kit within 3 days of placing your order i.e. the cooling off period. Your kit must be returned unused, at your own cost and in full saleable condition. We must receive your unused kit within 30 days from the date you placed your order.

What is a self-impression kit?

Our NEW and EXCLUSIVE 'No Stress' Impression Kit which can be used multiple times (if needed) to make a great impression! Our NEW kit is proven to be our easiest and most effective impression system to date.

Our NEW 'No Stress' impression kit is pre-loaded with putty, all you need to do is heat the tray following the instructions and away you go!

My impression was unsuccessful, what happens next?

If you have received a notification that your impression has been unsuccessful, our friendly team will call you (Monday to Friday) to explain the reason for this, and to offer help and support before you try again.

How do I take my own impressions?

We've made the process of taking your impressions as easy and straightforward as possible, and you can do this from the comfort of your own home.

It is really important that you take the time to read the instructions carefully, and watch our helpful step-by-step video, to give you the best chance of making an accurate impression.

How do I send my impression kit back to you?

It is really important that you don't ship your physical impressions back to us until we have invited you to do so, as this may cause delays to your order and incur extra costs.

Depending on where you reside, you may be provided with a return shipping label to return your approved impressions to us for physical inspection. If you have not received a return label, you will be required to return your approved impressions at your own cost, and we suggest using a tracked method.

I've sent my impressions back to you, what happens next?

That's great! If you have been invited to return your impression(s) to us, you will be able to track your return using your tracking information. When we receive them, our experts will make a physical inspection, and let you know the outcome and next steps.

You can also track the progress in your instasmile Account online.

Aftercare

How do I put in and take out my instasmile?

Your instasmile is easy to put in and remove. To insert your clip-on veneers, first check that they are aligned correctly to fit over your natural teeth. Place the product over your teeth. Starting at the back, gently apply pressure until it clips into place. Do not force it.

To remove, use both hands to remove your instasmile. Start at your canines (fangs) and begin to gently tease your veneers from side to side until they come loose. Once removed, do not twist or flex your instasmile, as this may damage it.

My instasmile feels tight, is this normal?

Yes, this is perfectly normal, and is nothing to worry about. We aim to provide you with a product that fits securely, we recommend in this situation that you soak your instasmile in warm water for 10-15 minutes and insert it again and this should feel better.

Remember that your instasmile is custom-made to your teeth and as such will only fit your mouth. If your veneers become loose or uncomfortable to wear and you are within your 30 day manufacturer's warranty then please discontinue use, and contact us immediately. Do not cut or trim or attempt to alter your veneers in any way as this will void your warranty.

My instasmile is the wrong shade

If you believe that the instasmile that you have received is in the wrong shade, and you are still within your 30 day manufacturer warranty period then please upload images of your product in your instasmile account. We can then investigate this further and advise you on the next steps. Please be assured that we will look to resolve any issues quickly.

I have a lisp

Your mouth is a sensitive place, and anything new inside your mouth will take a little adjustment. Your instasmile may cause a slight lisp when first worn but usually disappears after 72 hours. The more you wear them the faster you will adjust to wearing them. It's also worth remembering that even fixed veneers can cause a lisp when they are first fitted.

How do I clean my instasmile?

It's easy to look after your instasmile to keep it looking its best. We suggest you wash it with warm (not hot or boiling) water after every use. Simply remove, rinse with water and use a soft bristle toothbrush (a baby toothbrush is ideal) to remove any food residue from the inside of your veneers. You can then use disinfectant tablets - similar to those used for dentures - twice a week to remove any unseen bacteria.

We do not recommend using toothpaste to clean your instasmile.

How do I store my instasmile?

We provide you with a storage case to keep your instasmile safe. It's important that you do not leave your veneers in direct sunlight and avoid putting them in hot or boiling water, as this can cause your instasmile to warp.

If you have pets, be aware that they are instantly attracted to saliva, so keep your instasmile well out of reach!!

Does my instasmile come with a warranty?

Our aim is to provide you with a quality product that fits securely and accurately. Every instasmile has a full quality check before we dispatch it to you to ensure it meets our high quality standards. Each instasmile product also comes with a 30 day manufacturer's warranty covering manufacturing errors or defects, or fitting issues.

Instasmile Classic and Dynamic products include a 6 month extended warranty in the price as standard.

Instasmile Iconic products include a 12 month extended warranty in the price as standard.

In the unlikely event that you need to claim against your manufacturer's warranty, please notify us within 30 days of receiving your instasmile by completing our online contact form. Please also include a short video and/or images of your instasmile showing the issue you are reporting. Our friendly team will look into this quickly for you, and let you know how this issue can be resolved.

You will be unable to claim against the manufacturer's warranty if:

  • A repair or alteration has been attempted
  • The product has been accidentally damaged
  • The product has been lost
  • The product has become stained
  • The product fits, however, you are unhappy with how it looks. Remember, a period of adjustment is to be expected when you first receive your product

What is covered with the extended warranty?

Our extended warranty covers breakage, loss and accidental damage. It includes up to a maximum of two remakes (eg. 2 x top arch or 1 x top arch & 1 x bottom arch) during the warranty period. This starts from the date you receive your instasmile.

To claim against your extended warranty, please complete our online contact form, and include an image of your damaged instasmile. Our team will take care of the rest. For hygiene reasons, we do not require you to return any damaged products.

Can I return my instasmile?

Your instasmile is custom-made to fit your unique dental profile. Due to this, and for hygiene reasons, we unfortunately cannot accept returns.

My instasmile has broken

All of our products are carefully checked before dispatch to ensure they meet our extremely high quality standards. If you use your instasmile as directed in our aftercare leaflet, you will be able to enjoy wearing it for as long as possible.

It would be very unusual for your instasmile to break within the manufacturer warranty period of 30 days. In the event that this occurs, we would require you to upload a short video and/or images detailing the issue into your "instasmile account", so that our team can look into this for you.

If you have an extended warranty, and you are still within the 12 month warranty period with remaining claims, you may raise a claim. To do so, please complete the online form in your instasmile Account and upload images of your damaged instasmile, and our friendly team will take care of the rest. For hygiene reasons, we do not require you to return any damaged products.

If you are outside of your warranty period, you will be required to place a new order to replace your damaged instasmile.

I want to re-order

That's great! If you wish to re-order and it's been less than 12 months since we approved your impressions and your dental profile and oral health has not changed, then you won't need to do your impressions again. Please contact us after placing your order if you would like us to use your existing impressions. 

If your impressions were approved more than 12 months ago or your dental profile or oral health has changed, then you will need to make new impressions to ensure your instasmile has a secure and accurate fit. 

Please be aware that all of our products are hand finished so you may notice slight differences with your new instasmile.

Do you deliver to my country?

We offer FREE international shipping to most countries around the world!

However, there are some countries that we do not yet deliver to. These are: Belarus, Burma/Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Serbia, International Criminal Tribunal for The Former Yugoslavia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Lebanon and Syria, Liberia, North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), Republic of Guinea, Somalia, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Balkans.

Can I track my delivery?

Yes, you can log into your online Account at any time to check the progress of your order, including when your self-impression kit has been dispatched, tracking information, when we have received your impressions, and when we are making your instasmile. You will also receive regular updates via email and SMS, so you know exactly what's happening with your order.

You may also receive updates directly from the carrier that we have used to deliver your package.

My package has been returned to you as undeliverable, what does that mean? My package has been returned to you as undeliverable, what does that mean?

In rare cases, a package may be returned to us as undeliverable. There are a few reasons why your delivery may have been returned to instasmile:

  1. If your address is a PO Box or private mailbox service. We do not deliver to these addresses.
  2. If the address provided was incorrect or outdated.
  3. If the postal service has made three attempts to deliver, it is customary for them to then return it to us.
  4. If your package was damaged in transit.
  5. If the package was refused in error.

If we receive a returned package, you will need to verify the delivery address and settle any delivery charges before we can resend it. If we have made a mistake, no additional postage costs will apply.

My package hasn't arrived yet?

It's rare that packages are lost, and we track every package that leaves instasmile. We share your tracking information with you, so that you can follow your package's journey. All packages require a signature.

If your package is showing delivered, but you have not received it, please check if it has been signed for by a neighbour or a local depot.

If your package is still in transit after 7 days from the date of dispatch, please let us know by contacting us via your 'intsasmile account' area, and we will contact the carrier for further information.

When will I receive my impression kit?

We'll usually dispatch your instasmile self-impression kit the next working day from the day of purchase. You'll be able to track your order via your instasmile account, and we'll also send you an email with all the relevant information as soon as it has left instasmile.

Please be aware that your self-impression kit will need to be signed for.
