Missing Teeth

Did you know, your teeth and bite are as individual as your fingerprints? That's why you won't find an all-in-one treatment for dental issues.

For teeth that have suffered from accidents, dental decay, and ageing, patients are often left with a less-than-ideal smile. Luckily, there are a range of treatments to fix and cover missing teeth, but which one is right for you?

Tooth cover options to hide missing teeth

Partial dentures - Often only covering where a single tooth used to be, the partial denture will provide a removable replacement for missing teeth. A partial denture will be clipped into your dental arch and will rest upon the palette of your mouth, costing around $400-$6,000.

Complete dentures - A complete denture is required when ALL teeth are missing, and this is why they cost more - up to $13,000

Tooth implants - The procedure of having a dental implant will involve invasive surgery in which metal posts are fused to your jaw bone. This requires drilling into the jaw bone to attach the metal posts, then mounting a false tooth on top of the screw. The cost can be up to $1,500 per tooth.

Fixed bridge - A dental bridge will cover the gap where your tooth once was by receiving support from your surrounding natural teeth. Instead of the fake tooth (also known as fake teeth that look real) being inserted through your gum, one or more of your surrounding teeth will have to host a dental crown which will then attach to your bridged tooth.

We can cover up to eight missing teeth at the top and eight at the bottom, but we do require certain teeth to be present to ensure the instasmile fits securely.

How to prevent further missing teeth

There can be various reasons as to why you may suffer from tooth loss but there are plenty of measures you can take when preventing tooth loss and trying to keep your smile intact.

Mouth guards - With contact sports such as hockey, rugby and football, it is important to protect your teeth with a mouth guard. Some are better than others, so make sure you look around before rushing your purchase. After all, your teeth are important!

Oral Hygiene - Your oral health can play a huge part in maintaining your teeth. Brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day will keep your teeth and gums strong and healthy, while regular check ups with the dentist can help diagnose and treat early signs of diseases.

Eating Habits - Limiting sugary foods and drinks will help keep your teeth strong and cavity free. Too much sugar can weaken the teeth, with extreme cases experiencing tooth loss or the need for removal.

Can instasmile hide multiple missing teeth?

Yes!

Snap-on veneers from instasmile can cover up to 6 missing teeth on the top, and/or 6 missing teeth on the bottom.

To be deemed suitable for treatment, you must have 1 of your front 4 teeth and one on either side, on both the top and bottom.

The instasmile dynamic is made from a durable material with customers with multiple missing teeth in mind.

Our smile solution means you can eat, speak and smile with ease and added confidence.

How long do snap-on veneers last?

Just like with natural teeth, the better you care for your snap-on veneers, the longer they’ll last.

Luckily, instasmile veneers are super easy to clean. All you need to do is wash the veneer with warm water (not boiling) using a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove any food residue.

Twice a week (depending on how often you wear them), use denture tablets to remove any unseen bacteria.

For storage, make sure to keep your pop-on veneers in the storage case provided. Make sure to leave them in a cool, dry area to prevent the veneer from warping.

Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or putting them in hot water, as it can cause your instasmile to warp.

Keep out the way of pets too! They’re attracted to saliva so might mistake your snap-on veneer for a toy.

Can instasmile hide multiple missing teeth?

Mouthguards are designed to protect your teeth when playing contact sports, not give you the look of a gorgeous smile - like pop-on veneers.

Depending on where you get them, they’re made from a flexible plastic material to absorb any impact. Often clear, or a block, bright color, it’s not something you’d want to wear outside of the sports field.

If you have missing teeth, and like the idea of a full pop-on veneer to cover them, consider instasmile!
